ACCESS TO SENDAI
Sendai is located 350 kilometers north of Tokyo on the pacific coast of Japan. Domestic flights to Sendai from Kansai, Nagoya, and other major domestic airports are available but not from Narita. The Shinkansen (bullet train) connects major cities in Japan with its fast and punctual service.

Getting to Sendai by Land
After arriving at Narita airport by air, you will need to take Narita Express from Narita airport to Tokyo station (approximately 55 min.). At Tokyo station, you will need to transfer to Tohoku Shinkansen bound for Sendai, called "Yamabiko" or "Komachi". It will take approximately 2 hours to Sendai station. All seats on the Narita Express and Tohoku Shinkansen must be purchased in advance. These tickets may be purchased at basement level 1 of Narita airport and also the terminal 2 building.

Getting to Sendai by Air
An alternative method to reach Sendai is to fly directly into Kansai or Nagoya airport and transfer to a connecting flight to Sendai. Direct international flights from Beijing-Dalian, Guam-Saipan, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Seoul, Shanghai-Beijing, and Singapore to Sendai are in service presently. A shuttle bus is in service between Sendai airport and Sendai station (40 min.) on a daily basis. The bus departs from the domestic flight terminal building after the arrival of each flight. One-way fare for adults is 910yen.

It is the nest season in Sendai, Japan. Average temperature in September is 20 degrees Celsius (69 degrees Fahrenheit) in September, and the highest is 29 degrees (84F), lowest is 12 degrees (53F). The average Humidity in September is around 70%.
